2007 Norton Invitational Golf Tournament
Golfers at Fiderion’s 2007 Norton Invitational at the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North arrived President’s Day weekend anticipating a challenging weekend filled with golf and camaraderie. The event commenced with a welcome reception where the “Fiderion Who’s Who” mingled and subtly sized-up their competition. Little did they know that night that Balser Companies’ Managing Director Bill Folan, an avid golfer, would emerge victorious.
The first and last rounds were played at Troon North - Pinnacle Course. This impressive 18-hole masterpiece was designed to blend with Arizona’s natural landscape, creating a challenging layout that really tested this year’s competition. The second round was played at Troon North Golf Club – Monument Course, ranked in America’s Top 100 by Golf Digest magazine.
Bill Folan recalls his experience, modestly noting, “I played pretty well on days one and three, but shot a 73 on day two…” His efforts were enough to crown him champion of the event. Other players were quick to congratulate him on his accomplishment noting his strong performance over the three day tournament.
“Charlie Cooper did a great job of organizing the event this year. It was great fun and I am looking forward to playing again next year,” said Bill.
